As the owner of a Montessori preschool, it is important for me to provide the best possible materials and furniture for my students. I am beyond pleased with the work Mark Turnbull has completed for our school, Sunflower Garden Montessori. He is always attentive to detail and spends as much time as needed discussing my requests and ideas, even before he starts on the work. Our classrooms are quite large (30 by 60 feet), and Mark came in after school to help me think of ways to create safety and coziness in this large space. We designed a lobby for a sign in area and reading corner. It was Mark’s idea however to combine this structure into a children’s bookshelf too! It looks amazing and professional but is also movable so that if we leave this space the whole structure can come with us. Mark also has the right tools to get the whole project finished from the woodworking to the 3d printed gate latches. This gives the entire project a finished and cohesive look.
Along with the larger projects Mark has worked on, he is also happy to help with the smaller requests Montessori schools have. He has been active in designing classroom materials for us from a butterfly life cycle tray to a sewing board. We are now excitedly awaiting our Pikler Triangle climber! I plan on having Mark help with our school projects for many years to come.
